CivicGate Sourcing Terms of Service
These terms cover use of the CivicGate Sourcing website and the inquiry desk for alternative steel buildings, workshops, hangars and related off-site formats. They do not create a construction contract, a dealership, or a design engagement.
Who the desk is
CivicGate Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner. It helps a business buyer describe a building problem and request factory quotations for alternative products. It is not cleary building. CivicGate Sourcing does not claim authorized dealer status, does not sell the referenced brand’s buildings, and does not inherit that company’s projects, warranties or publications.
What a submission is
A form submission is a request for coordination. It is not an order, a reservation of manufacturing time, or an acceptance of any price. Catalog labels are inquiry options. An empty product image means no photograph has been assigned; it does not mean a building is waiting in a yard.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of use, dimensions, loads, jurisdiction, quantity, destination and scope. If you add an optional budget, state the currency and whether the figure is per building or for the whole order. A supplier preference is your buying inclination. It is not a rating prepared by this desk. You will involve the architects, engineers and authorities your project needs. Code editions, including IBC, IRC, ASCE 7 and local amendments, are identified by those parties.
Quotations and scope
Factories price what they are asked to price. A shell, a delivered package, an installed frame and a turnkey scope are different commercial lines. CivicGate Sourcing may organize those lines into a comparison sheet. It does not warrant that a supplier’s exclusion list is complete, that freight will match an estimate, or that a member size is adequate. Installation, foundations, utilities, permits and taxes stay out of a comparison until someone writes them in.
Documents and certificates
Drawings, calculations and certificates belong to the party that issued them. A reference to AISC 360, AWS D1.1, IAS AC472 or ISO 9001 is meaningful only for the system, plant and date the issuer names. This website does not display those marks as its own. You should read the file against the building you intend to buy.
No professional appointment
Nothing on this site is structural engineering, architecture, legal advice or a code determination. Worked examples describe how to line up a brief. They are not records of a completed project and they are not a prediction of price. Decisions to accept an alternative material, a different clear span or a different division of work are yours.
Site use
You may read the pages and send a genuine business inquiry. You may not scrape the site in order to impersonate the desk, present CivicGate Sourcing as a manufacturer, or submit false project data. The benefit note about sourcing support describes a review process for qualified business buyers. It is not a standing discount and it is confirmed only after product, quantity, destination and sourcing requirements are reviewed.
Liability limit
To the extent the law allows, CivicGate Sourcing is not liable for a supplier’s late delivery, a rejected permit, a site condition, or a difference between two quotations that were never on the same scope. If a liability remains, it is limited to the fees you actually paid this desk for the inquiry in question. Many inquiries have no fee. That fact does not create a duty to obtain a particular factory or a particular number.
Changes
These terms may be updated by posting a new version on this page. The version you see when you submit a form is the version that applies to that submission. Questions about a live brief go through the contact form, because that is the channel where the project details already sit.
